Poster presentation in annual meeting of American Society of Human

Report: hara toru

Date: 2012/11/5 - 2012/11/11

I attended the 62nd Annual Meeting of American Society of Human Genetics (San Francisco, CA) and presented a poster entitled "Possible genomic impact of SVA retrotransposon in humans similar to that in gibbons". We reported that hominoidae specific transposable elements were amplified at the centromeres  in western hoolock gibbon. I had meaningful discussions and gained useful information about my research during the sessions. In particularly, Dr. Duncun Odum's presentation was informative. Lastly, some presentations about genetic education were interesting.
