Morphological Diversity and conservation status of Thai Primates

Report: FUJIMOTO SHUNPEI

Date: 2011/9/5 - 2011/ 9/13

I researched mainly on the difference in the head of Macaca fascicularis at a temple in the Amnat Charoen, the each type can run from a mother to a child, and the ratio of each three types, a round type, a sharp type like a horn, anda spiral type, which is exception. Refer to the Photo-1, left, middle, and right, respectively. Since I was not able to research enough time, I cannot tell this statistics is exactly correct. From my research, the ratio of three types were, about 35% of round type, about the 65% of sharp type, and about the2% of spiral type in this temple. About inheritance of these feature (Photo-2) I believe that children inherit these features from their parents. Though I couldn't tell each father, mostly, the features of the child and his or her mother were same.
