1. Job description

Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University (KUPRI) is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate to the position of Program-Specific Associate Professor (Strategic Research Program for Brain Sciences). One of the aims of this program in KUPRI is to develop a behavioral test battery for marmosets, especially transgenic marmosets. Prior experience of behavioral experiments with marmosets is preferable. The successful candidate is exempt from administrative responsibilities and is expected to promote the research of primates from a broad perspective.

2. Application procedure

(1) CV with detailed account of academic activity and research grant record.
(2) List of academic publications and reprints.
(3) List of non-academic/popular publications and reprints of those most representative of your research.
(4) Summary of research that the candidate has conducted (about 1000 words).
(5) Summary of research that the candidate intends to carry out at KUPRI (about 1000 words).

3. Selection procedure and feedback to candidates

A committee will be set up at KUPRI to evaluate all candidates, based on the documents submitted. The final decision will be made by all faculty members. Each candidate will be informed of the final decision pertaining to him/herself only.
