1. Job description
Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University (KUPRI) is seeking to
appoint a suitable candidate to the position of Program-Specific
Assistant Professor for the National BioResource Project "Nihonzaru
(Japanese monkeys)". The major purpose of the Project is to
collect, preserve, and provide Japanese monkeys as experimental
animals. The Project also aims to improve the bioresource by
increasing the value of the bioresource to meet the currect scientific
demands. A person who has been engaged in bioresource business and/or
the breeding management of macaque monkeys is preferable. High
Japanese Language skill is required. The successful candidate is
exempt from any administrative responsibilities.

(1) CV with detailed account of academic activity and research grant
record.
(2) List of academic publications and reprints of those most
representative of your research.
(3) List of non-academic/popular publications and reprints of those
most representative of your research.
(4) Summary of research and/or bioresource business that the candidate
has conducted (about 1000 words).
(5) Summary of activities or future plans that the candidate intends
to carry out in the Project (about 1000 words).

3. Selection procedure and feedback to candidates
A committee will be set up at KUPRI to evaluate all candidates, based
on the documents submitted. The final decision will be made by all
faculty members. Each candidate will be informed of the final decision
pertaining to him/herself only.
