1. Job description
Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University (KUPRI) is seeking to
appoint suitable candidate to the position of Program-Specific
Assistant Professor for the “Hominid Cognition Project”.
The project aims to utilize group cages with computerized equipment to
test the cognitive functions of the three hominid species (humans,
chimpanzees, and bonobos) in the same test setting at the Kumamoto
Sanctuary (KS) of Kyoto University. Please visit the following web

candidate is exempt from any administrative jobs.
2. Application procedure
Candidates are requested to submit the following documents in
triplicate (copies are acceptable). English or Japanese is acceptable.
(1) CV with detailed account of academic activity and research
grant record.
(2) List of academic publications and reprints.
(3) List of non-academic/popular publications and reprints of those
most representative of your research.
(4) Summary of research that the candidate has conducted (about 1000
words).
(5) Summary of research that the candidate intends to carry out at
KUPRI (about 1000 words).

3. Selection procedure and feedback to candidates
A committee will be set up at KUPRI to evaluate all candidates,
