22th Congress of International Primatological Society at Edinburgh, National Museum of Natural History at Paris, and Catalan Institute of Paleontology at Barcelona

Report:KAGAYA Miyuki

Date:2008/07/24 - 2008/08/13

At the National Museum of Natural History, Paris, I visited Professor Senut to talk about a project which I will start from this October at the museum.
At Barcelona, I visited Professor Moyà-Solà in Catalan Institute of Paleontology. I could have an observation of the Miocene ape fossil specimens housed in the institute. I brought a research proposal on the fossil ape materials, and we discussed about it.
At the 22th Congress of International Primatological Society at Edinburgh, I had a poster presentation on skeletal thoracic cage morphology of primates focusing on the features of apes. At the Post-congress Symposium on comparative functional anatomy, I had a poster presentation there on relative size proportion of the thoracic cage and clavicle bones. I could exchange ideas with many participants of many backgrounds.
