Poster Presentation at the 22nd International Primatological Society Congress

Report:Sakai Tomoko

Date:2008/08/02 - 2008/08/10

I attended at the 22nd International Primatological Society Congress to make a poster presentation entitle "Development of the prefrontal area in chimpanzees. "I could have a productive discussion with researchers who study brain or behavioral development in primates about the brain development in chimpanzees. Especially, I found the advice of Dr. Hopkins who is renowned for the MRI study of chimpanzee brains very important and meaningful.
Thanks to generous support of the advisers and staffs in Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University, I won the international award for the best student poster presentation at this congress. I wish to express my appreciation for what they have done.
