Study on sociality and ecology of wild orangutans with high density in primary forest.

At first I visited Klias river where Dr. Henry Bernard has researched Proboscis Monkey and exchange views on research plans with him. Additionally I gave lecture at a workshop "Borneo Species Workshop" hosted by Sabah Wildlife Department and WWF-Malaysia. From November to December 2007, I have conducted behavioral observation of orangutans. I followed 10 animals for 160 hours 21 minute in 22 days. In this time I identified more three orangutans then the number of identified animal increased to 33 individuals.
