Primary research for ethological and ecological study of wild orangutans

Period of visit: 8th August,2005-28th October,2005

Danum Valley Conservation Area, Sabah, Malaysia

I observed 22 orangutans and many social interactions during this research. Monthly nest census and fruits census were continued, too. Additionally I maintained the old trails to follow orangutans steadily for the large area and long time rather than before. I arranged to borrow the assistants and the equipments to observe orangutans on the tree.
